The other day we went and saw the movie Puss in Boots! Since I've seen the trailer for it i knew i had to see it! I used to have a cat named Uncle Buck (i called him Cheese) He was kinda like my cat. He was quite the talker though, and that was annoying to some. Everything about him was kinda loud. His meow was loud, the floors would creak when he walked, him bathing himself was loud, and you could hear his purr across the room. He was definitely a sweet kitty and very cuddly. Such a bed hog. I was really sad when we moved away and i couldn't take him with us. But i think it's best we didn't. It seems like right after and maybe a little bit before we moved he started to look sick. He was pretty old too. This past summer he pasted away. I was so sad. After i got off the phone with my mom i was pretty pitiful. Poor Jeremy i don't think he knew what to do or say. So after watching Puss in Boots it made me miss my kitty. On a lighter note...the movie was really cute!
Sunbathing....and rockin the Harley Davidson collar
Yesterday I started working on a Christmas wreath. Well it's not exactly Christmas colors but lots of colors...actually after i got home i noticed the yarn was all rainbow colors. It looks like it might take me awhile to finish though (im making each pom pom they are not store bought). Hopefully it will turn out as pretty and fun as i imagine it too.
While my parents were visiting the other week we went to the Botanical Gardens. My mom is a gardener (going back to school for Horticulture) so it was a must see. It was a really nice day and we had a lot of fun. Our family jokes around a lot so there were lots of silly photos, laughs, and of course stealing bringing home something (just some mini pinecones, osage oranges - already fallen, and my mom picked a fig and ate it) Jeremy had to work that day so it was just the 3 of us. Here are just a few pictures...
Sorry mom...i had too!
We went to the kids section and played around...
While they were here we also went to Ste. Genevieve, the Zoo, and did some antique shopping. But i only really got pictures from the Bot-Got. Although there is a pretty funny video of me and my mom dancing to Hotel California that might have to be posted. It might be a little embarrassing though. We'll see.
Yesterday we walked down to Busch Stadium to see all the people and what was going on for the World Series. I'm not much of a sports person, but since we live in STL i figured i should root for the Cardinals. Jeremy used to play baseball so he really wanted to see it. I felt like we were getting some looks though. We were like the only people not wearing red and maybe because we had Ziva with us and we were obviously not going to the game.
They changed the water to red for the games. The other week it was blue and im not sure why.
The other morning i was looking for some juice we had and i didn't see it in the fridge so i thought Jeremy finished it off already. But how could that be we had just gotten it like 2 days before. So i opened up the trash can to see if he threw it away. Nope. Then i thought that maybe he brought it out to the office with him and forgot to put it up. His glass was there but no bottle. So i gave up and forgot about it. I was about to take Ziva to the park, but first i wanted a glass of water. Well i opened the cabinet and...
...i ended up forgetting to get some water. He's been working a lot lately so he must not have been in his right mind. Poor guy.
As I'm writing this i hear Ziva in the other room doing something and it sounds like she is up to no good....of course i was right. I walk out there and she has gotten into one of the plants and dirt is everywhere!! It's even all over her face. No hiding it now, Ziva. Doesn't she remember the last time she did that it just made her sick. Crazy dog. I swept it up for now. My parents are coming to STL tomorrow evening and have been putting off some cleaning till tomorrow before they get here. And Z is the reason why...
After getting married in 2010, moving to St. Louis from a small town in south Georgia, i decided to start this blog months later to share a glimpse into our lives with friends and family.
Shortly after we got married we got a spunky little husky pup named Ziva.
I mainly started this blog to share photos of our life, DIY projects, and whatever else strikes my fancy.
The other day i was in World Market and saw that they had all these fun Christmas ornaments out already. I went a head and picked up a few.
Mushroom, Gnome, Dinosaur, cupcake, and World.
The little gnome is my favorite. They had all these cute Christmas
gnome things and little Santa gnomes (they might have been nutcrackers!).
I may have to go back.
Last year was our first Christmas together and we hardly had any ornaments (i had a small collection and Jeremy's mom sent us some later) so we went out and bought these cheap red, gold and silver balls. I think this year i want our tree to have tons of different ornaments. I was thinking about making some when the time comes. But can't it be Christmas time already?! I woke up singing "It feels like Christmas" from The Muppet Christmas Carol! It's always been one of my favorite Christmas movies (except when that women sings that slow song...my brothers always wanted to fast forward that part) Anyway, here's a little video for you to get in the Christmas spirit early.
Jeremy had to work today so me and Ziva decided to go to the dog park since it was such a nice day out. Here are some pictures i took of some trees changing colors.
