We are heading home to Georgia tomorrow morning!  We will stop off in Atlanta for a night and then make our way to the south.  We decided this past Sunday to head home since Jeremy took a week off.  His birthday is friday the 31st and i thought he was just taking the day off...which would end up being a long weekend, but a couple weeks ago he told me he took the entire week off.  Yippie!  Ziva will be coming with us this time.  She came last February and was probably about 5 months old.   We may regret it after our 14 hour drive...too late to board her now.

uhh i thought i was going to get crushed again by the metro doors. Last time the doors closed on me and caught my leg.  This time the doors opened on me and i was stuck waiting for people to get on while my backpack was stuck in the opened door (i barely got my arm-more like whole left side-out of the way).  I couldn't move.  It was kinda scary.  Jeremy said that riding the metro might be the end of me.  They may need to turn up the beep or voice that tells you the doors are opening and closing (if they even have one...we never heard).

Ditty of the Day-Grease

I used to love this movie.  Or maybe i just loved the songs.  Either way i always had a good time watching it.  Back in the 3rd grade me and a group of friends made up a dance to "You're the One That I Want" for the schools talent show. We thought we were so cool (or at least i did) practicing our dance on the playground during recess.  I used to hang out in my room listening to the soundtrack on a cassette tape.  I think later i got the CD.  Last night i went and listened to several of the songs and it seems i still know all the words.

As i was clipping the berries there were a few people that walked by, some just smiled, one told me to watch out for the poisonous ones, and then i looked up and there was a cop on a horse passing by.  I got nervous so i hide my clipping shears in my armpit and just smiled and said hi.  He did the same (he must not have seen the big cup on berries on the ground).  Then when i was walking around to get to the truck i saw 2 other cops in cars.  I felt like they were after me.

A couple days this past week we've walked downtown.  One night we walked to the Arch and the next we walked to get some pizza.  It's been so nice in the evenings, it almost feels like fall is coming.

Later this week i will be starting an intern position at a Special Event Boutique doing floral design. 

I'm really excited about it and can't wait to learn.

Last week before i found out that i got the intern i went out to the park again and snagged a few things.

I always feel like I'm going to get in trouble, but i mostly go where there aren't a lot of people

(although it's along a busy street) and I'm sure i look suspicious trying to be sneaky.

Ziva in the summer

For the past couple weeks now we have been taking Ziva outside to play in the evenings.  With it being slightly warm in the evenings, rather than scorched, we all can enjoy playing outside for a little while.  Every night at about the same time Ziva will chime in and remind us it's go time.  Sometimes there is another dog that will come out and play for a bit, but usually it's just me, her, Jeremy, and her squeaky ball. She loves her squeaky ball.

She also likes to play with the soccer ball. 

Lately people have been asking me how she does in this heat, being a husky and all. Well she wants to go outside and play just as much as any other time, but we try not to do much with her during the hottest part of the day.  Early mornings and evenings are best.  I say she does just fine, just fine indeed

Botanical Gardens in the summer

The other day it wasn't scorching hot outside so i decided to go to the Botanical Gardens.  It was just me, so i put my ear buds in and blasted some music while walking around.
