just because...

Since it's 45 degrees outside i thought i'd cheer you (ok...it's for me) up some with some pretty spring pictures.  I took these a couple years ago at Forest Park.  It was our first Spring here and i just thought it was the prettiest thing ever.  I remember Ziva was a puppy and driving me crazy and i had to get out of the house.  So i went to the park...without her.

not the best idea...

i think it was a bad idea to watch an episode of X-Files before bed about killer roaches.  every little tickle in bed i kept thinking there were roaches on me.  i hate roaches!  i don't really like bugs to begin with, but roaches...i'm outta here!  so far i've hardly seen them here in St. Louis, but we lived in a loft so we didn't get bugs.  i'm worried we may get some at the house now.  as long as Jeremy is around to kill them and stuff.  i can't even stand to kill them.  and the really big ones...watch out!!  they will fly at you.  yuck.  i'm getting the heebie-jeebies just thinking about it.

Spring is here!!

The past week or so has been so nice!  On Easter we decided to go to the Zoo.  It was a perfect day!  The next couple days were a little cooler.  I started raking up the back yard some. We went on a few walks. It warmed up again (60's) and i finished raking the yard.  I've been trying to spend as much time outside as possible.  Lots of playing fetch with Ziva and trying to teach her to catch the frisbee.  Doesn't quite have the hang of it yet.  On Saturday i planted a few things.  I chased Ziva around with the water hose.  Sunday i wanted to go to some antique stores.  Jeremy wanted to go to the one in Central West End...in the city.  It's got some nice little restaurants around it so we figured we'd eat lunch, walk around, and then head the the junkier antique mall.  On our way in to downtown Jeremy let me blast my Mamma Mia soundtrack with the windows and sunroof down! He's so sweet!  It took us forever to get to Central West End because there was a big run downtown and one of the Highways was closed.  We drove all over.  Finally when we got there the antique store that we wanted to go to was no longer there!  We just shook our heads and laughed.  We ate outside at a British pub and had some delicious hamburgers.  We figured since we drove all that way we should at least walk around some.  Spring has been popping up here and there and it was nice to walk around and see some of the trees blooming.  I'm hoping maybe this weekend we can go to the Botanical Gardens and really see things blooming!
