its not mosquitoes

last night jeremy asked me if i had left the balcony door open all day because he thought he was getting bitten by mosquitoes on his arms.  it wasn't open that long and we don't really get mosquitoes around here...not this early.  ten minutes later he was getting ready to go to bed and i noticed he had those red bit like bumps all over his neck and shoulders.  those are not mosquito bites. he must be allergic to something.  they were getting worse and itchy and more all over his body. he took some benadryl and told me if he starts wheezing in the middle of the night his airway is closing and to call 911 (he's an anesthetist..always talking about the airway).  i woke up several times in the middle of the night to make sure he was breathing.

this morning he was a lot better and only had a few spots left.   when he came home from work he was still fine with a few spots.  we sat down to watch the big bang theory and afterwards he started to itch again.  it was starting to cover his arms and lower back.  we decided that it must be from the chair he sits in.  he didn't notice it until after getting up from that chair last night and again today.  he was thinking that it might be from one of the plants that is next to his chair so i moved it outside and wiped the chair down with a wet paper towel .  we are hoping it's not ziva.  i don't know what we'd do if it was.  (although she had a weird reaction to something too).

now we are just waiting till the traffic lightens up some so we can get out of this place.  as jeremy said it "get me out of here...its something in this hiz (short for hizzie...house)...i got a ghost in me (we've been watching way too much Supernatural)".  at least he's joking about it.

dog park and frozen custard

Ziva all up in the mix with her buds

she found the prize.  the only squeaky tennis ball and all the dogs wanted it.  they finally gave up because she wouldn't let anyone near her.

tailgating is the thing to do when you go.

she has a new favorite thing.

Ziva update

I just realized i never gave you an update on Ziva like i promised ;)
We took her to the vet last Friday because she had these red scabby marks all over her back.
They tested her for ringworm's.
The first test came back negative, but they are doing another to be sure
(because other dogs and humans can catch it!)
It's a 4 week long test.
They gave us some medicine and i guess she is doing better.
Poor thing, the pills make her drink more water...
which means more potty breaks.
There have been a few accidents.
Most likely it is just a bad reaction to the shampoo
that the kennel used.

*Ziva's new hide out spot is below the new bench.

castle jar in action

The other day i clipped some branches from some trees outside.

clipped this last week and still looking good.  This is only good in small doses,
because when you walk by the tree it smells like fish.
(excuse my dusty table)
